Flu vaccinations will be provided to GCPS students free of charge in October. Please return parental consent forms to the school by Sept. 26

NOTICE TO PARENTS

Reminder that next week, September 29- October 3, is an intersession week for Galax City Public Schools.  If your child has been identified for the remediation program, attendance is mandatory.  Remediation will occur in the mornings.  Students who participate in remediation had the option of also participating in an enrichment program in the afternoon.  If your child was not identified for remediation, they had the option of signing up for morning and/or afternoon enrichment classes.  If your child enrolled in an enrichment program, regular attendance is expected as seats were limited.    If your child is not in remediation, nor has he/she enrolled in enrichment, there are no attendance requirements.

Buses will run regular routes for the week of September 29-October 3.  Transportation is not provided in the middle of the day.   Parents will need to pick up their child if they participate in a field trip that returns after normal school dismissal time.  Breakfast and lunch will be served as on a normal school day.

The week of October 6-10 is a break week and schools are closed for students and faculty.

If you have additional questions, please contact the school office.
