Mrs. Snow - Music

126.jpg

Mrs. Snow grew up in Radford, Virginia where she graduated from Radford High School in 2002. She went on to study Music & Education at Emory & Henry College near Abingdon, VA and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 2006. While at Emory & Henry, Mrs. Snow was a member of the Concert Choir, which toured both nationally and abroad.

Mrs. Snow then moved to North Carolina where she taught in Chapel Hill at Mel & Zora Rashkis Elementary School. While in Durham, she was also a member of the Duke Chapel Choir under the direction of Dr. Rodney Wynkoop as well a private voice instructor for the Chapel Hill School of the Arts.

After moving to Grayson County in 2009, Mrs. Snow is starting her fourth year of teaching at Galax High School & Galax Middle School where she teaches chorus and general music.   She enjoys cooking, reading, and traveling with her husband Michael, and their golden retriever, Abbey.

She believes that music education is important and necessary for all students.
"But for heights and depths no soul can reach,
music is the soul’s own speech."
