Mrs. Gallimore was born in Wytheville, Virginia and has lived in Galax since she was four years old. She attended Galax City Public Schools and graduated from Galax High School. Mrs. Gallimore attended Radford University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education.  She is beginning her fortieth year of teaching first grade, and adding her twelve years of school attending Galax City Public Schools gives her a total of fifty two years in this system.

Mrs. Gallimore and her husband of 36 years, Rick, enjoy gardening, watching Va.Tech football games, and  their Corgi, named “Maggie”.

“I knew I wanted to teach small children when I was a cheerleader at Galax High School and I enjoyed teaching the cheers to the children in the neighborhood.”

“Education has changed so much since I started teaching.  It has truly been and  will continue to be an amazing journey.”
