Mr. Justin Iroler, Principal of Galax High School

200 Maroon Tide Drive, , , 24333

Mr. Iroler was raised in the Hillsville, Virginia area.  He graduated from Carroll County High School and went on to study Health and Physical Education at Emory and Henry College in Emory, Virginia.  Mr. Iroler continued his education at Radford University where he received his Master's in Educational Leadership.

Wanting to begin his teaching career near home, Mr. Iroler spent his first five years teaching at Oakland Elementary in the Carroll County School System.  In 2004, he came to Galax Middle School where he served as the Assistant Principal. He became the Assistant Principal of Galax High School in 2010. Mr. Iroler was promoted to principal beginning with the 2013 2014 school year.

“I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity each day to see, assist, and work with such wonderful and caring students, their families, staff, and the community of the City of Galax.  Since I have been at Galax Middle School, I have found that the stakeholders of the Galax community have an unbreakable relationship bound together by one strand: all decisions are made for the well-being of our students.  This, in turn, helps us to empower our students with the skills they  need to meet the challenges of tomorrow", says Iroler.
