Ms. B.J. Carroll - English 11

33.jpg

Ms. Carroll grew up in Greenville, North Carolina, graduated from J. H. Rose High School, and received a B.S. Degree in Speech and Drama from East Carolina University. After college, she worked with North Carolina Dance Theater and then returned to school to acquire credentials for teaching English. Her first three years as an educator were spent in Hyde County, North Carolina near the Outer Banks. In 1985, Ms. Carroll began teaching at Galax High School and has loved her tenure here. Her proudest accomplishments come with the building of theater at Galax High School. With six VHSL State Championships, she stands as the second most decorated director in the history of the VHSL. Nine individual state champions in forensics have thrived under her coaching. Ms. Carroll’s joy in working with high school students keeps her young.
